Writing for inJacoBeach is a great way to prove your stay in the area, and, if relevant, earn some important internet exposure and credibility for your business and passion.

Plus, we handle all the web-techie-stuff like formatting and HTML, while letting you focus on creating works of alphabetical art! Keep reading and you'll see how easy it is!

Virtually any content contributions are welcome and well received.  If you're not sure what you can write about or how you can help out, read on for some ideas.  The opportunities to help on the site are endless!

Area News Reports

If you are in the know of all the latest happenigs in the area, why not contribute your stories as local news?  Municipality paving roads this Sunday?  Bet many would like to know when and where so they don't get stuck in traffic.

Nightlife News / Photographers

We all know Jaco Beach is quickly becoming known as Central America's little Ibiza, so people are going to want to know "what's up" any given night.  If you're one of Jaco's many nocturnal beings, this might just be your ticket to VIP treatment every single night!  We need a few willing volunteers to party it up like it's 1999 all over again, but still remember what happened the morning after.  Keep tabs on the local events and party zones, snap some pictures (any half-decent digital camera will do) write how and where the night went, and send it to us to post on the site.

We also want "party guides" for upcoming dates, with suggested drinking routes (ie, "hit up X bar for their 2 for 1 deals and the classic rock, then after 11pm move on to Y and be prepared to be blasted with the best electro DJs and drink the ladies night away for free..."

What's in it for you?  VIP treatment at all the major bars and nightclubs as well as free special invitations to future events.  You will be expected to have a completely neutral and open view without favoring any specific businesses, music genres, or clients.

Surf Reports / Tide Charts

Do you own a surf shop or run a surf school? Maybe you are just an avid surfer and want to share your knowledge! We need two or three surf-gurus that are in the know that can provide visual reports on surf conditions for Jaco and Hermosa (Herradura would be a little boring…) as well as the occasional relevant photo to spice up the page with that sick aerial that you or your friend hit yesterday (with photo / surfer credits of course!).

We will provide the tide charts generated from the US ocean guys; you just need to tell us what you think of the waves. You will be expected a minimum of two to three articles a week (a leave of absence while you’re in California is OK…) with a report on current conditions as well as what to expect in the coming days.

Sportfishing Reports

Captains! We’re looking for one or two professional charter captains or assistants who can provide an accurate fishing report, and if possible provide any relevant photos of related catches. Reports would include the where, when, what, and how of popular game catches that are relevant to the area and a prediction of what’s to come in the near days. You will be expected a minimum of one or two articles per week, the more you write, the more exposure your business will receive.

Other Article Contributions

If you are dedicated to and/or are knowledgeable in a certain aspect of the area or trade that isn't listed here and would like to write an article, please let us know.  There are tons of oportunities to share your expertise.  You could write a general law guideline to owning and operating a business, an overview of what options there are to claiming a resident status, or what the proper procedures are for purchasing and transferring a land / home title in the area, including maritime land laws.  Articles should obviously be factually accurate and a resource which tourists or residents (or both) will find to be useful.

What's in it for you?

Contributors will have their business name and logo featured on their article's page (or in the case of writing for a section, in that section), with a short promotional description as well as a direct link to their website, email, and phone number. You can also receive a direct link to your business guide page on inJacoBeach.com and are free to link back to the article's page and/or syndicate your work onto your own webpage.
